Julia Roberts has wanted to make the move to San Francisco ever since she splashed out over $8 million for a home in the area — but husband Danny Moder is refusing to leave their L.A. nest, a source tells BiGGERSTARS.
“Danny’s fighting for a few reasons. First off, he’s an L.A. native who has all his friends in Southern California, and he’s not so into the hippie-dippy lifestyle Julia wants to live,” notes the source. “Plus, he doesn’t want to be any farther away from his family in Palm Springs — it’s already a two-hour drive.” Pals say the Homecoming star, 52, simply wants a break from the chaotic Hollywood scene; meanwhile, the cinematographer, 51, wants to stay put in case any job opportunities pop up. “It’s put a real damper on their anniversary plans,” spills the source, noting that the pair will mark 18 years of marriage on July 4. “The day will probably be super low-key now, because neither of them feels like celebrating when things are so tense.” Hopefully, they can learn to compromise!
