United States investigators have demanded Britain give up Prince Andrew for questioning over his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, with accusations that he, too, had sex with underage girls.
The Duke of York, 60, has”categorically denied” any wrongdoing, but New York’s Department of Justice will take its investigation across the pond so they can interrogate the duke in court. A source told The Sun: “It’s a huge statement of intent from the US and it moves Andrew into the realms of a criminal investigation.” Since Epstein’s 2019 death in custody, while he awaited trial for sex trafficking charges, all eyes have been on Andrew, but he’s so far failed to cooperate with authorities.”The DoJ does not make a request of this nature lightly, especially one involving a senior member of the British royal family,” the source added.
